Stories with a
world of their own.
An original ten-part animated series created in Blender, with characters developed in Nomad Sculpt and brought together inside an unfolding, beautifully strange world.
A short animated film following a robot who believes he is the last one alive, combining atmospheric world building with character-led storytelling.
Characters / character studies
Meet
the cast.
A growing cast of odd creatures, bright heroes and beautifully strange faces. Working across Nomad Sculpt, Blender, illustration and painted texture, each character begins as an experiment before finding its place in a larger story.

Worlds / environment studies
Places to
get lost in.
Our environments combine cinematic lighting, saturated colour and tactile, hand-made surfaces. Bedrooms, laundromats, forests and dream spaces become story engines, built to feel inhabited before a character says a word.

We make things
better together.
HalvesOfOne is the shared creative identity of twin sisters Rebecca and Lauren Ketchell. Both graduated from Arts University Bournemouth with first-class honours degrees: Rebecca in Illustration and Lauren in Fine Art.
Bringing together illustration, 3D practice, fine art and painting, we work from the earliest sketches through to the final edit. We are drawn to odd creatures, parallel worlds and the small details that make an imagined place feel real.
